Green Optical Filter Glass

Green filter glass transmits a narrow wavelength band centered around light in the green spectrum. Green filters transmit light in the green spectrum, and absorb blue and red light. To attain maximum transmittance of a specific wavelength in the green band, green filters may be used in conjunction with sharp cut filters. Green filter glass acts as a bandpass filter which passes a narrow spectral band of UV, visible, or NIR light, and blocks out of band wavelengths. Applications for green filters include contrast-effect filters for black and white photography, green LEDs and fluorescence imaging, laser diode applications, and as 3 color separation filters.
