Valley Design specializes in producing and stocking Fused Silica and Fused Quartz wafers and substrates, with sizes up to 300mm in diameter and thicknesses as thin as 10-15 micrometers. These materials are valued for their low thermal expansion, resistance to thermal shock, high transparency across various light spectra, and high softening temperatures. They are used in lighting and semiconductor applications and can be customized to meet specific requirements. Fused silica and quartz also offer wide spectral transmission ranges, resistance to laser radiation, and can withstand elevated temperatures, making them ideal for optical applications.
Valley Design offers a large inventory of finished fused silica wafers. Single-crystal quartz is also available and can be lapped, polished, diced, or CNC-machined to meet your specifications. Gold-coated fused silica quartz tubes can be fabricated for heat-resistant, high-temperature applications.
