Valley Design is an AS9100D / ISO 9001:2015 certified, ITAR registered US manufacturer specializing in lapping, optical polishing, precision CNC machining, dicing, and related services on a wide range of hard and soft materials. We produce stock and custom substrates, wafers, windows, precision shims and spacers, flat optics, beamsplitters, and other high-precision components.

We work with both our own material inventory and customer-supplied materials, and are particularly known for ultra-thin processing (10–15µm), ultra-flat surfaces (1/4 wave), super-polishing (<5/3 scratch/dig, <1Å), and tight-tolerance work (±1µm). Every process is performed in-house at our Shirley, Massachusetts facility — giving customers fast quotes, short lead times, and direct accountability.
