Aluminum Nitride (AlN)

Aluminum Nitride (AlN) is a high thermal conductivity, electrically insulating ceramic material with low thermal expansion, widely used in semiconductor, aerospace, defense, and medical industries for substrates, heat sinks, and electronic components, available in various sizes and finishes with CNC machining services for customized applications.

Aluminum Nitride (AIN) is a solid compound made of nitrogen and aluminum.

AIN’s high thermal conductivity is very efficient (generally up to 230W/(m-K), making it appropriate for heat dissipation applications. These applications are vital in automotive, electronics, industrial, aerospace, and medical fields. Its low thermal expansion characteristic is similar to that of silicon, making it an ideal material for electrically insulating, non-toxic substrate materials in hybrid, power, and microwave electronics applications. Additionally, AIN is a hard, durable material and is typically used in semiconductor substrates, heat sinks, and power electronics.
