Over the past 45 years of process development, Valley Design has mastered shaping and CNC machining techniques to produce features such as V-grooves, steps, slots, channels, pockets, pyramids, counterbores, notches, chamfers and edge rounding on many materials both hard and soft.

Utilizing 4 Axis and 5 Axis CNC machining, even the most demanding specifications and tolerances can be met on many hard materials including Silicon Carbide, Alumina and Aluminum Nitride Ceramics, Quartz, Ferrites, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Macor, Sapphire, Silicon, Germanium and Glass. Valley also works with soft materials such as PEEK and Ultem. These materials can be machined to both large and small geometries in a wide range of thicknesses, and with an extensive selection of angles, depths, widths, and surface finishes, with tight tolerances.
